In the summer of 2002, Nicholas was told that he would be a healer. Upon hearing this guidance, a quiet place of knowing opened inside him. In the years that have followed, his life has been infused with new meaning and purpose. He has come to understand that his own personal pain and searching has led him to this healing path. Through his commitment to know and heal himself, he is aware of a healing gift he can offer others along their personal healing paths.

Nicholas Sweeney was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He has a B.A. in Theater from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, and an M.F.A. in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

In an effort to engage and understand life in symbolic terms, Nicholas has studied astrology and numerology for over eleven years and the Tarot for six years. During a psychologically difficult time in 2003, his explorations led him to the Berkley Psychic Institute in Berkley, California. There, his sense of self expanded as he began to work on meditation techniques learned in their beginning meditation class.

Around the same time, Nicholas was attuned to Reiki and intuitively knew he had discovered a method of healing that would always be a part of his life. After graduating from the American Conservatory Theater in 2004, Nicholas moved to New York City. Soon after, he made a life-long commitment to his own and others' personal healing journeys and began his formal Reiki training with Margaret Ann Case at the New York Open Center and Reiki Arts Continuum. While participating in the Reiki Master program he was ordained into the inter-faith priesthood according to the Order of Melchizedek. In June of 2006 he graduated from the Reiki Arts Continuum Reiki Master-Spiritual Healing Practitioner-Spiritual Counseling program.

Nicholas is the founder of Phoenix Wisdom Healing, a private healing practice dedicated to spiritual and holistic healing. Currently, he resides in Nashville, Tennessee and offers astrological consultations, tarot readings, and private Reiki and crystal healing sessions. In his practice he is constantly humbled by the depth and beauty of the human soul and our capacity for healing and growth. He is inspired by a vision of the world in which unconditional love and compassion motivate our thoughts, speech, and actions, at individual and global levels.
